Soy Votive Candles
Light a candle for me. Have you ever heard
this term before? The soy votive
candles
represents the prayer
that you say for your loved ones. These candles were first used for
more of a religious purpose. When you light a candle it symbolizes
the prayer. Some people also light a candle at their church in
remembrance of a dearly departed loved one.
The candle isn't very big. It is only about 2
1/2 inches tall and about 1 1/2 inches thick. Since the candle is
small, after it's lit it liquifies rather quickly. This is why it is
so important to have the candle in a proper holder made specifically
for soy
votive candles
.
The holders
and wax will become very hot and will burn your hands if
you attempt to pick it up after it's lit. You don't
want to spill the hot oil it can cause sever burns. Even though
soy wax doesn't burn as hot it can still be very uncomfortable if you spill it on
your skin. Once it's lit it shouldn't be moved for any reason.
It's always important not to leave any
candles within the reach of children or your pets. Candles can be
knocked over very easily. If you use the soy wax it will clean up
easily with soap and water. The soy wax does burn cooler than
paraffin but, it's just not wise to leave a candle unattended. Even
if the oil won't get hot enough to burn there is
still the open flame to consider. The burns that can result to your little ones
will be more devastating than simply cleaning the wax from your floor.
Votive
Style Candles are also great to have in an
emergency when the power goes out. Where we live it's always a good
idea to have a few of these on hand in the winter months.
Please keep all candles out
of the reach of children and pets whether you use soy or paraffin.
