When the wax is no longer putting out any scent or you simply want a change just let the warmer cool off and pop out the wax and discard it. The warmers are very easy to clean since you are using soy products. It cleans with soap and water. Let the warmer cool down before attempting to clean it.
They have a average life span of about 8hrs. If you choose to make your own and they are smaller you may have to put in two or three so they last longer.
