Soy Bean Farmers
Soy bean farmers are not the only ones who
benefit when you purchase a soy candle. Your family will love having
a pollutant free home.
I was browsing the Internet and came across
an article about soy candles. The website it was on stated that soy
beans were a crop that was only grown in the US. This just isn't
true. Soy crops are not exclusive to the US. After some more
research I went to a website that talked about how some US farmers
are using land in South America to produce their soy beans.
This was an interesting article about
how the farms in Brazil are out producing the ones in the
US. These farms are still owned by US farmers.
The US has dominated the soy industry for
over half a century. Soy farms in South America are
reportedly 10 times bigger than the ones in North America.
Allot of companies are moving outside of the US. Why? I believe it's
because the land, labor and equipment is cheaper.
When you purchase soy based candles you are
helping the soy farmers and our economy. What country was the soy
beans grown in? Does it even matter to some people since the farms
are still owned and operated by US farmers?
You can't really claim that your candles are made from home grown soy
beans if you don't really know for sure.
