Scented Soy Candles

Scented soy candles make an excellent addition to your home. You can find high quality scented candles online. The Internet is a great place to find a wide variety of soy candles. Did you know the best key to unlocking memories is scent? Do you have a special memory that's triggered by a certain scent? When you smell the soy candle fragrances are you transported to a forgotten memory?

Some of my favorite soy candles are the ones that smell like fresh baked goods. When I was little my mother was always baking something. When I came home from school there was always something in the kitchen for me to sample. Her kitchen always smelled good! My mother was a professional cook. She was always trying out new recipes. I got to try every thing first! That was once my brothers moved out. If you didn't get to it first, chances were good there wouldn't be anything left!

One thing she made sure we had enough of was banana bread. I have to say this has got to be my favorite type of breads that she made. She never bought any bread. She made all of her bread from scratch. There was no such thing as bread machines back then. Making bread was an all day event. It was a special treat when she would warm a few slices in the oven. We didn't have microwaves then!

The home made bread was especially good with the strawberry & raspberry freezer jam. She made all types of jams and jellies and canned them. The strawberry freezer jam was my favorite. If you haven't tried it you're really missing out! She used fresh strawberries to make it.

Another favorite of mine was her apple pie! Top off a warm slice with some cold vanilla ice cream and you couldn't ask for a better desert. She always made it with a really flaky crust. She made so many pies, cherry , apple , peach  and raspberry . We always had homemade pumpkin pies for the holidays! The pie shell recipe was handed down from her mother. I now use it when I make pies.

I don't bake as quite as much as my mother did but I still think about the wonderful smell of her kitchen. I can have that same smell with soy candles. Nothing beats the soy candle fragrance. You can light scented soy candles and your family might think you've been slaving over a hot oven all day long. At least with scented soy candles you won't have a messy kitchen. I still love to cook but, I also hate the messy clean up!
