Aromatherapy For Stress
Aromatherapy for stress. Today there are
more people than ever experiencing some form of stress. In the world
today it's impossible to avoid. With all of the problems facing
families today it's easy to become stressed
and not so easy to let it go. While aromatherapy can't get
rid of the causes, it can make it a little
easier to deal with.
Lavender
Lavender can have a big
impact on easing
stress and tension. I suffer from allot of stress related headaches.
The scent of lavender helps to ease my tension and lift my mood. The sweet smell
of lavender aromatherapy for stress is calming and rejuvenates your soul. Our
bodies can only take so much stress and tension before
we begin to overload.
Vanilla
Vanilla is the most common scent on the
market today. A large percent of the population refers to vanilla as
being their scent of choice. I find the scent of vanilla very
calming and relaxing. It reminds me of french toast. My mother always
put vanilla in her eggs when she made french toast. It made
the whole kitchen smell like vanilla. Vanilla blends well with
many other essential oils.
Sandalwood
One of the main benefits of using sandalwood
is it's ability to calm the nervous system. It
has a warm inviting woodsy scent with balsamic undertones. It can
lower your stress level and rejuvenate your spirit. Sandalwood will ease your worries,
reduce your tension and calm your stressed out mind. Sandalwood
aromatherapy for stress can do wonders for
relaxation. You can even get relief from Fibromyalgia while using this scent.
Sandalwood is one of the very few essential oils that gets better
the older it gets.
Lemon
Lemon fragrance can improve your mental
and emotional well being. It lifts your mood and eases stress with
a zesty aroma. It will help decrease your stress and
increase your energy level.
Chamomile
Chamomile has been used for many years for it's calming effects. The smell is sweet
and kind of smells like apples. The relaxing aroma will soothe your mind
and body. Chamomile is very good for dealing with the hormonal and
emotional changes associated with pms and menopause. Chamomile can be
excellent aromatherapy for stress.
Patchouli
Patchouli has a heady musky deep aroma.
People often think of the 60's when they smell patchouli. It was
used by some to mask some very strong odors. It's a very deep, intoxicating,
exotic aroma. This strong sensual scent has a calming effect yet stimulates
you in other areas. It's also used as an aphrodisiac! Some people
might find the scent a bit strong while others may
find it more sensual.
Rose
The sweet smell of rose has been around for many years inspiring
romance and tranquility. Rose has a way of calming your
tension and easing stress. It naturally has a strong floral scent.
This is my favorite flower and I love the aromatherapy scent as
well. The scent is obtained from the petals and it takes allot of
them just to make an ounce. With this in mind you won't be surprised
to find it's a rather expensive essential oil.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon is a very strong smelling essential oil. It has a very
strong spicy aroma. It has the ability to stimulate your senses and
restore a calm balance to your stressed out mind. This is a favorite
of mine around the holidays. The holiday season can be a stressful
time for many people. Some soy candles with cinnamon essential oil
in them can come in handy at this time of the year!
Geranium
When I first heard about geranium essential oil I thought yuck! I love the geranium plants I get
at my local nursery. But the smell of the leaves are rather stinky! I
use the plants as bug repellents. Flies really hate the smell of the
leaves. I thought the geranium oil would smell
awful like the plants I have. It doesn't though. The essential oil
is taken from the rose like geranium. It even has a similarity
to rose oil in it's fragrance. Many people resort to using geranium
oil because it's so much cheaper than the rose oil. Geranium
essential oil can help you find inner peace, soothe your troubled mind
and help you find a calming inner balance. Geranium is excellent aromatherapy
for stress.
When you can't get away from the stress take a short vacation
with a natural soy candle that contains anyone of these
magnifiscent essential oils.
While you enjoy your soy candles please be
responsible and keep them out of the reach of children and pets.
