Aromatherapy For Colds

Hate head colds? Try aromatherapy for colds. Head colds and congestion makes me miserable. I don't like how allot of medications makes your brain feel fuzzy. Essential oil scents can make you feel allot better with out the brain fog associated with medications.

There are several essential oil scents that can help to bring some relief. It is much better if you can go the natural route for help with colds and congestion.

There are allot of medications that have long term effects. These are side effects that don't show up right away while you're taking the medication. Over a period of time your body will also get used to the medications and won't work as good the next time. Why not stick with something that is natural and healthy for you and your family?

Eucalyptus

Many people consider it to be very effective in treating coughs, runny nose, and sore throats. It helps with the general body aches and pains associated with the common cold. It is very uplifting and may even help with headaches. When you are congested it can help to break up the mucus in your lungs.

Lemon

The essential oils is found in the rind of the lemon. The oil smells allot like the fruit. It can help to break up mucus and help you to breath easier. Lemon can also help to boost your immune system so you won't be so susceptible to catching the cold again.

Onions

I sometimes use pureed onions to help relief nose congestion. You won't be able to find an aromatherapy soy candle with onion scent. I don't think I would want one if there was such a thing. I'm just including it here because it's very effective for relieving nasal congestion. Just put a couple slices in a blender and puree. I just sniff the mixture and while it makes you cry it also makes your nose run and will help with nasal congestion.

While you enjoy your soy candles please be responsible and keep them out of the reach of children and pets.
